All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Sunday, September, 25, 2022:
OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE
At approximately 3:01 AM, deputies responded to the area of Farmers Grove Rd and Freitag Ln in the Town of New Glarus for report of a male passenger acting irate in a motor vehicle while it was in motion. As a result of the investigation the driver of the vehicle, Desyra D. Ott, 32 of Monticello was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants 1st offense. She was released pending court. The male passenger, Nate L. Anderson, 38, of Monticello, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Anderson was taken to the Green County Jail where he was released upon posting bond
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH
At approximately 11:26 AM, deputies responded to the intersection of Steiner Rd and Franklin Rd in the Town of Clarno for a report of a two vehicle crash. During the investigation it was learned a truck driven by Randy L. Goebel, 62, of Browntown, was stopped at the south end of the intersection on Steiner Rd. Goebel looked both ways and did not see any vehicles. As Goebel entered the intersection, a motorcycle operated by Jeffrey J. Christen, 64, of Belleville, collided with Goebel's truck. Christen was ejected. Christen was not wearing a helmet. Christen sustained life threatening injuries and was transported by a helicopter to a Madison hospital. Goebel was wearing a seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment in his vehicle. Goebel reported he was not injured. Goebel's vehicle sustained minor damage. Christen's motorcycle sustained severe damage. The Monroe Rural Fire Department, the Green County Area EMS and Med-flight assisted at the scene.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH
At approximately 5:55 PM deputies responded to the intersection of STH 11 and CTH S in the Town of Jefferson for a one vehicle crash. During the
investigation, it was learned a vehicle operated by Jonathan G. Sayago, 25 of Elgin, IL was traveling east on STH 11 when his GPS told him to turn right onto CTH S. As he was turning right the GPS told him to turn left. Sayago tried to turn left, but the vehicle ran over the traffic island on CTH S striking a traffic sign and post. The vehicle continued into the east ditch where it came to a halt. Sayago was the only one in the vehicle and was not injured. He was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained minor damage. Sayago was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no valid driver's license. He was released pending court. |
