The following incidents occurred on Saturday, March 5th, 2022:
Motor Vehicle Accident-Property Damage:
At approximately 9:52am, Deputies, along with Albany EMS and the Albany Fire Department responded to the intersection of County Highway E and County Highway C, Town of Brooklyn, for a report of a two vehicle accident.
Investigations determined Randall J Schoonover, 31, of Evansville, was northbound on County Highway E when he failed to stop at the stop sign. A vehicle driven by Tanya J Lawson, 28, of Janesville, was eastbound on County Highway C, when she was struck by Schoonover in the intersection.
Schoonover and his passengers denied injuries and all reported wearing their seatbelts. There was airbag deployment in Schoonover’s vehicle. Schoonover’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
Lawson and her passenger reported no injuries and all reported wearing seatbelts. There was airbag deployment in Lawson’s vehicle. Lawson’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
Schoonover was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.
