2022 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on March 28, 2022

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incident occurred on Sunday, March 27, 2022: 

OWI Arrest –  

At approximately 1:54 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of E. Main St., Village of Albany. While on the traffic stop, a second unrelated vehicle parked near the area of the stop and the operator began to yell at Deputies on scene. The Brodhead Police Department was also requested to assist.  

Investigation resulted in the operator of the second vehicle, Dallas P. Kinney, 26 of Albany, being arrested for Operating While under the Influence of Alcohol – 1st Offense, Resisting an Officer, Resisting an Officer Causing Soft Tissue Damage and Disorderly Conduct. Dallas was transported to the Green County Jail where he was held pending posting of his bond or his initial court appearance.  

Battery – Substantial Battery –  

At approximately 2:43 AM, Deputies, the New Glarus Police Department, Monticello First Response and Green County EMS, responded to the 100 block of N. Main St., Village of Monticello, for a report of a fight with injuries.  

Investigation resulted in Brent J. Klitzke, 25 of Monticello, being arrested for Substantial Battery. Brent was jailed pending his initial court appearance. Further investigation resulted in Jaena M. Denney, 23 of Monticello, being booked and released for one charge if Simple Battery. Jaena was released with a future court date.  

Possession of THC –  

At approximately 10:54 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W5200 block of State Highway 11, Town of Monroe.  

Investigation resulted in the operator, Daniel Salazar, 21 of Beloit, being cited for Possession of THC – Less than 25 Grams and for speed (78 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.) Daniel was released with a future court date.  

OWI Arrest –  

At approximately 11:43 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of 14th Ave. in the City of Monroe. 

Investigation resulted in the operator, Juan D. Chipahua-Panzo, 24 of Monroe, being arrested for Operating While under the Influence of Alcohol – 1st Offense. Juan was also arrested for a warrant through the City of Monroe. Juan was transported to the Green County Jail where he will be held pending posting of his bond or his initial court appearance.
