At 3:34 AM, Green County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Browntown Fire, Green County EMS and South Wayne Fire Department personnel responded to the area of STH 11 and Cadiz Springs Road, Town of Cadiz, for a serious traffic crash involving a car and semi-truck.
Investigation determined a 1997 Buick Riviera eastbound on STH 11 collided with a westbound semi-trailer towed by a 1999 Freightliner.
The 57-year-old male driver of the Buick Riviera died at the scene from injuries. The truck driver was uninjured.
Identification of the deceased subject is pending further investigation.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Department Reconstruction Team performed scene reconstruction. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted with the commercial motor vehicle investigation.
Weather and road conditions appeared to be a factor. This crash remains under investigations.
