2022 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on January 25, 2022

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

The following incident occurred on Monday, January 24, 2022: 

Motor Vehicle Crash –  

At approximately 4:29 AM, Deputies responded to the N2500 block of Pine Tree Rd., Town of Jordan, for a one vehicle crash.  

Investigation determined that the operator, Melissa A. Haak, 33 of Monroe, was traveling south on Pine Tree Rd. when she lost control of her vehicle on the now covered road. The vehicle entered the ditch, striking a fence and becoming stuck. The vehicle sustained minor damage and there was no airbag deployment. Melissa reported wearing her seatbelt and not sustaining any injuries. The vehicle was left on scene by permission of the property owner and will be towed at a later time.  

Probation Arrest –  

At approximately 2:59 PM, Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in the City of Monroe and arrested Lonnie D. Severson, 53 of Monroe, who had a Probation Hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.   Lonnie was incarcerated in the Green County Jail. 

Motor Vehicle Crash –  

At approximately 3:23 PM, Deputies responded to the W700 block of Dunphy Rd, Town of Albany, for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash.  

Investigation determined that the juvenile operator, Cutter, 17, was traveling east of Dunphy road when he lost control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled onto it’s roof, damaging a fence. Cutter did not sustain any injured and reported wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, there was no airbag deployment and it was towed from the scene.  

Motor Vehicle Crash –  

At approximately 4:17 PM, Deputies responded to the W4800 block of Edelweiss Rd., Town of Exeter, for a report of a single vehicle crash.  

Investigation determined that the juvenile operator, Leyton, 16, was traveling east of Edelweiss Rd. when he lost control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch, striking a utility pole. Leyton reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. The vehicle sustained functional damage and there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle was driven from the scene by Leyton.
