2022 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on June 08, 2022

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

The following incident occurred on Tuesday, June 07, 2022: 

Hit and Run Crash –  

At approximately 1:17 AM, Deputies responded to the N2400 block of Brodhead-Airport Rd., Town of Spring Grove. The vehicle involved was no longer on scene, but was later located on Hafeman Rd. in Rock County.  

An investigation was conducted which determined that the operator, Brennan Z. Bloedel, 25 of Brodhead, was traveling south on Brodhead-Airport Rd when he entered the east ditch for an unknown reason. Brennan continued through the ditch, striking a mailbox and a utility pole, breaking the utility pole off of its base. Brennan then re-entered the roadway and continued driving until his truck became inoperable. Brennan reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. There was no airbag deployment and the truck was towed from the scene.  

Brennan was subsequently cited for Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Crash to Law Enforcement, Hit and Run; Property Adjacent to Highway and for Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle. Brennan was issued a future court date.  

OWI Arrest –  

At approximately 7:30 PM, Deputies, Green County EMS and The Juda Fire Department, responded to the W3400 block of State Highway 11, Town of Sylvester, for a report of a one vehicle crash.  

Investigation determined that the operator, Brittany J. Collins, 32 of Juda, was traveling east when she stated the sun was in her eyes and she unknowingly entered the north ditch, striking a mailbox. The vehicle came to a rest in the westbound lane. Brittany reported not being injured and wearing her seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle and it was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.  

Further investigation resulted in Brittany being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance and was cited for Failure to Maintain Control of her vehicle. Brittany was released to a responsible party with a future court date.  

OWI Arrest –  

At approximately 12:24 AM, Deputies made contact with a driver in the W4100 block of Wirth Lane, Town of Exeter.  

Further investigation resulted in the operator, Landon K. Murray, 18 of Monticello, being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance. Landon was released to a responsible party with a future court date.
