2022 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on January 06, 2022

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

The following incident occurred on Wednesday, January 05, 2022: 

Warrant Arrest –  

At approximately 9:42 AM, Deputies arrested Christopher W. Denning, 32 of Benton, WI, at the Green County Justice center on a warrant through Probation and Parole. Christopher was transported to the Green County Jail and was turned over to jail staff.  

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –  

At approximately 4:03 PM, Deputies, Monroe EMS and the Monroe Rural Fire Department, responded to the N3800 block of State Highway 81, Town of Monroe, for a report of a single vehicle crash with injury.  

Investigation determined that the operator, Tristan J. Wilde, 23 of Monroe, was traveling west on STH 81 when he looked at his phone and failed to negotiate a curve. Tristan exited the roadway to the north, struck and embankment and became airborne striking a utility pole. There was no airbag deployment and Tristan was not wearing his seatbelt. Tristan was extricated from the vehicle and was transported by Monroe EMS to be evaluated for injuries received.  

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.  Tristan was cited for Operating After Revocation and Inattentive Driving.  

OWI Arrest –  

At approximately 11:46 PM, deputies responded to the N1600 block of County Highway T, Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch with someone slumped over the wheel.  

Investigation determined that the operator, Adam P. Sadler, 31 of Machesney Park, was traveling south when he fell asleep at the wheel and entered the ditch, becoming stuck. Further investigation resulted in Adam being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance. Adam was also cited for Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle.  

Adam was transported to the Green County Jail where he was released to a responsible party.
