The following incident occurred on Tuesday, July 05, 2022:
*Corrected Information* Motorcycle Crash with Injury -
At approximately 5:23 PM, Deputies were informed a of a motorcycle crash with injury that occurred on 07/03/2022 at approximately 9:21 PM that was not reported. The crash occurred in the N2400 block of County Highway GG, Town of Spring Grove.
Investigation revealed the operator, Jacob R. Covert, 31 of Brodhead, was traveling south on CTH GG when a deer entered the roadway. Jacob swerved to miss the deer and entered the west ditch causing him to go airborne. Jacob then collided with a wire box on the side of the roadway and was ejected from the motorcycle. Jacob was not wearing a helmet and sustained non-life threatening injuries. Jacob was ultimately cited for Failure to Maintain Control and Failure to Report a Crash to Law Enforcement. Jacob was issued the citations with a future court date.
Traffic Crime -
At approximately 1:35 PM, Deputies were assisting a driver with vehicle issues in the W3000 block of State Highway 11, Town of Jefferson. Investigation resulted in the operator, Ryan M. Link, 31 of Edgerton, being cited for Operating After Revocation due to OWI. Ryan was released pending a future court appearance.
