The following incidents occurred on Friday, May 6th, 2022:
Motor Vehicle Accident- Property Damage:
At approximately 10:32 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of County Highway F and Purintun Rd, Town of Mt Pleasant, for a semi versus car accident.
Investigations found that a semi tractor trailer unit operated by Robert E Edler, 65, of Juda, reported being westbound on County Highway F. Edler’s semi tractor trailer unit crossed the center line while negotiating a curve in the roadway. While negotiating this curve Edler’s semi tractor trailer unit struck an SUV operated by Jordyn K Venden, 23, of Brodhead, who was eastbound.
Both Edler and Venden reported no injuries and both reported wearing their seatbelts. Edler’s semi tractor trailer unit’s airbags did not deploy. Venden’s vehicles airbags did deploy. Both units sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene.
Edler was cited for operating left of center and released with a court date.
P&P Violation/Arrest:
At approximately 2:22 PM, Deputies responded to the probation and parole office to take custody of Jeremy L Hartwig, 34, of Albany.
Hartwig was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
Motor Vehicle Accident-Personal Injury:
At approximately 11:21 PM, Deputies, along with the Browntown Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the N2200 block of Cadiz Springs Rd, Town of Cadiz, for a report of a car vs tree accident.
Investigations found that the driver, identified as Trinity J Jackson, 17, of Monroe, was northbound on Cadiz Springs Rd when a deer entered the roadway. Jackson reported taking evasive action and lost control of the vehicle, striking a tree. Jackson reported injury, reported wearing her seatbelt, and there was airbag deployment in the vehicle.
Jackson’s four juvenile passengers reported injury and reported wearing their seatbelts. Jackson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Jackson was cited for a probationary license violation. Jackson was released pending court.
