All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incident occurred on Saturday, February 19, 2022:
Warrant Arrest –
At approximately 6:09 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W400 block of STH 81, Town of Spring Grove for an expired registration.
Investigation resulted in the operator, Misty R. McConnell, 35 of Beloit, being placed under arrest for an active misdemeanor warrant. Misty was transported to the Green County Jail pending her initial court appearance or posting of her bond.
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 7:25 AM, Deputies responded to the W8400 block of STH 11, Town of Jordan, for a two-vehicle crash.
Investigation determined that a westbound vehicle being operated by Tracey L. Kamps, 52 of Argyle, lost control on the ice-covered road and entered the east bound lane. Tracey’s vehicle was then struck by an eastbound vehicle being operated by Timothy D. Lelle, 50 of Argyle. Both drivers reported being uninjured and wearing their seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Tracey’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage and Timothy drove his truck from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –
At approximately 9:28 AM, Deputies, the Browntown Fire Department and Green County EMS, responded to the W8300 bock of State Highway 11 for a two-vehicle crash.
Investigation determined that a westbound vehicle being operated by Kathleen M. Leverton, 43 of Monroe, lost control on the slush covered road and entered the east bound lane. Kathleen’s van was then struck by an eastbound vehicle being operated by Michael L. Montgomery, 59 of Browntown. Both vehicle’s entered the ditch, with Kathleen’s vehicle striking a guy wire.
Kathleen’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and had multiple airbag deployments. Kathleen reported wearing her seatbelt and was then transported by EMS to be evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries. Kathleen’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
Michael’s vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Michael sustained a minor injury but was not transported for evaluation. His passenger, Stephen K. Eliasson, 63 of Monroe, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by EMS for evaluation.
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 10:07 AM, Deputies responded to the W8300 block of State Highway 11, Town of Cadiz, for a report of a two vehicle crash.
Investigation determined that a westbound vehicle being operated by Susan M. Busarow, 59 of South Milwaukee, lost control on the slush covered roadway. Susan attempted to slow down and was then struck by another westbound vehicle being operated by Stephanie M. Baudhuin, 55 of Greenfield.
Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts and not being injured. There was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Susan’s vehicle was towed from the scene with functional damage and Stephanie drove her vehicle from the scene.
