The following incident occurred on Monday, May 02, 2022:
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 7:15 PM, Deputies responded to the N4700 block of County Highway J, Town of Monroe, for a car versus turkey crash.
Investigation determined the operator, Brian M. Sherven, 40 of Belleville, was traveling north when the turkey entered the roadway and was struck by his vehicle. Brian was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. The truck sustained minor damage with no airbag deployment and was driven from the scene.
OWI Arrest –
At approximately 10:19 PM, Deputies, the Brodhead Fire Department and Brodhead EMS, responded to the W300 block of Stateline Rd., Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a one vehicle crash.
Investigation determined that the operator, Jennifer Moore, 50 of Rock City, IL, was traveling north on Best Rd. when she failed to stop at the stop sign. Jennifer continued through the intersection, struck an embankment and became airborne, coming to a rest in a field. Jennifer reported wearing her seatbelt and not being injured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.
Further investigation resulted in Jennifer being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence of Alcohol – 1st Offense. Jennifer was transported to the Green County Jail where she will be temporarily held. Jennifer was given a future court appearance date.
