The following incidents occurred on Thursday, March 31st, 2022:
Motor Vehicle Accident-Property Damage:
At approximately 7:40AM, Deputies responded to the N1600 block of County Highway T, Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a single vehicle accident.
The driver was identified as Yvette A Smith, 43, of Brodhead. Smith reported she was northbound on County Highway T when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow/ice covered roadway and entered the West ditch, striking a culvert. Smith reported no injuries, reported wearing her seatbelt, and airbags deployed within the vehicle. Smith’s three juvenile passengers reported no injuries and reported wearing their seatbelts.
Smith’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Accident-Property Damage:
At approximately 7:47AM, Deputies responded to the W4100 block of County Highway C, Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a report of a single vehicle accident.
The driver was identified as Amy G Silver, 27, of Monticello. Silver reported driving East on County Highway C when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow/ice covered roadway. Silver’s vehicle struck a culvert. Silver reported no injuries, reported wearing her seatbelt, and no airbag deployment.
Silver’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Accident-Personal Injury:
At approximately 7:06PM, Albany Police Officers, assisted by Green County Sheriff’s Deputies, Albany EMS, and the Albany Fire Department, responded to the 700 block of Vine St, Village of Albany, for a single vehicle accident with injuries.
Investigations revealed that the driver, Dale L Finley, 40, of Albany, was eastbound on State Highway 59 when he entered the South ditch and lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve. Finley was ejected from the vehicle. Finley sustained injuries, was not wearing his seatbelt, and airbags deployed within the vehicle. Finley was transported by EMS for further medical care.
Finley’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
Finley was charged with OWI-5th offense and received citations for operating while suspended, driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
