The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022:
Motor Vehicle Accident-Property Damage:
At approximately 8:01am, Deputies responded to the W5600 block of County Highway H, Town of New Glarus, for a single vehicle accident.
The driver was identified as Carter G Ness, 16, of New Glarus, who reported driving westbound on County Highway H. Ness reported negotiating a curve when he lost control of the vehicle on the ice covered roadway. Ness’ vehicle exited the roadway and entered a yard to the North. Ness’ vehicle struck another vehicle parked inside of a shed.
Ness reported wearing his seatbelt, reported no injuries, and airbags deployed. Ness’ vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene. The owner of the parked vehicle was identified as Donald L Thompson, 82, of New Glarus.
Motor Vehicle Accident-Property Damage:
At approximately 9:58am, Deputies responded to the W9000 block of Yankee Hollow Rd, Town of York, for a report of a single vehicle accident.
The driver was identified as Cody M Broege, 23, of Winslow, who reported traveling westbound on Yankee Hollow Rd when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice covered roadway and entered the South ditch. Broege’s vehicle overturned as a result.
Broege reported no injuries, reported wearing his seatbelt, and no airbag deployment. Broege’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
Traffic Crime:
At approximately 11:56AM, Deputies responded to the N5600 block of State Highway 104, Town of Albany, for a report of an abandoned vehicle parked on the roadway.
The owner was identified as Dustin R Foster, 27, of Brodhead, who reported being the driver of the vehicle. As a result of the investigation Foster was cited for Operating After Revocation-Alcohol.
Foster’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
