The following events occurred on December 31, 2021:

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 11:10 AM, A subject contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report that a vehicle had struck the foundation of a barn and left the scene in the W3100 Middle Juda Rd in Jefferson Township.   The complainant advised that he did not know when this occurred. I observed tracks in the snow that a vehicle was westbound on Middle Juda Rd and left the road and entered the south ditch. 

 

The vehicle went up a small embankment and struck the foundation to his barn. It appears the vehicle then backed out and left the area. There is no further information at this time.   Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Green County Sheriff’s Office at (608)328-9400.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

at 4:12PM, deputies responded to a one vehicle crash with no injuries or road blockage in the W8700 block of STH 39, in York Township.  A vehicle operated by Tessa A Green, 17, of Blanchardville was eastbound on STH 39. While negotiating a curve, she lost control due to icy road conditions and collided with the north side ditch and an old wooden fence post.  The vehicle came to rest against a barbed wire fence. She was wearing her seatbelt, and there was airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At  10:14 PM deputies were in the area of STH 92 and Glenway Rd in the Brooklyn Township, Deputies observed a curve sign and post laying in the ditch. Tracks indicated that a vehicle was going W/B on STH 92 when it failed to negotiate the sharp curve. The vehicle went into the west ditch where it struck wooden post that held a arrow curve sign warning of the curve. 

 

Tracks in the snow indicate that the vehicle drove out of the ditch and back onto STH 92.  While at the scene, a passing motorist stopped to advise the damage occurred in this morning sometime. He stated he went through the area at about 8:00 AM and the sign was up  at that time.
