The following events occurred on August 30th, 2021:
All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:
At approximately 8:49 AM, Deputies responded to the W4700 blk Edelweiss Rd., Town of New Glarus, for a reported hit and run crash.
This incident remains under investigation.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:
At approximately 12:47 PM, Deputies, along with Monroe Rural Fire Dept. and Green County EMS, responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of State HWY 69 and Advance Rd., Town of Clarno.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle, operated by Layla A Johnson, 17, Monroe, was southbound on State HWY 69, when she swerved to avoid a deer. Johnson’s vehicle then entered the south ditch. Johnson reported wearing her seatbelt and being injured. The vehicle sustained minor damage with airbag deployment. Johnson was transported from the scene via ambulance for further medical evaluation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:
At approximately 11:16 PM, Deputies, along with Green County EMS, Argyle EMS, and Browntown Fire Dept., responded to the W8400 blk State HWY 81, Town of Jordan, for a vehicle vs pedestrian crash.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle, operated by Michael R Mucerino, 41, Blanchardville, was parked in the eastbound lane while Mucerino was standing in the roadway moving debris from the roadway. An eastbound vehicle, operated by David C Carter, 22, Argyle, then struck Mucerino. Mucerino reported being injured and was transported from the scene by ambulance for further medical evaluation. Carter reported not being injured and wearing his seatbelt. Carter’s vehicle sustained moderate damage with no airbag deployment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
