On 07-17-22 at about 1:15 PM Green County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a check welfare request in the W4400 block of Fairfield Rd in the Town of Jefferson.
Upon arriving at the small farm deputies located a 78 year old female who had been struck by a John Deere utility vehicle. The female was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
Initial investigation revealed the female was operating the vehicle and was struck after she parked and exited the vehicle.
The Green County Sheriff's Office and Coroner continue the investigation.
