Dating back to March 2024, the Green County Sheriff’s Office investigated numerous incidents in which ISAIAH WAYNE COOK was identified as the person of interest. In each detailed investigation, COOK was ultimately identified as the offender and probable cause was established to support his arrest for the alleged criminal acts. These investigations resulted in criminal charges being issued in five cases in Green County – 2024CF60, 2025CF83, 2025CF106, 2025CF159, and 2026CF19. Ultimately – COOK was convicted of crimes in all cases except 2025CF106 in which the charges were dismissed but read-in at sentencing.
On March 18, 2024 the Green County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the reported Sexual Assaults of a Child. Charges were issued against COOK on March 22, 2024 for 17 felony offenses all of which were related to child sex crimes. In January 2025 COOK was convicted of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault when he plead Guilty to the charge in Green County Circuit Court (at this time numerous other charges were dismissed but read-in). COOK had received a 5-year withheld sentence with 12 months conditional jail time and probation. COOK was revoked from probation on January 15, 2026 and convicted February 13, 2026 in Green County Circuit Court of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. Also stemming from that case, COOK received a Deferred Prosecution/Sentence agreement on one count of Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child (at least 3 violations of 1st or 2nd degree Sexual Assault) contrary to WI SS 948.025(1)(e). This Deferred Prosecution / Sentence was under review and in effect until January 22, 2030. On February 13, 2026 this agreement was revoked and COOK was convicted of Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child (At Least 3 Violations of 1st or 2nd Degree Sexual Assault) by way of a guilty plea. 6 years State Prison with 9 years Extended Supervision and Life Time Sex Offender Registry was imposed.
On June 3, 2025 the Green County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation of reported Sexual Acts involving a convicted sexual offender confined to the Green County Jail. While the investigation was underway, Deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s Office observed an inmate engaged in an indecent act within a vehicle parked in the Green County Jail parking lot near 6th St in the City of Monroe. On June 9, 2025 COOK was officially charged in Green County Circuit Court under 2025CF83 on 3 counts of Felony Bail Jumping and 3 counts of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior. On February 13, 2026 COOK was convicted by way of his guilty plea of two counts of Felony Bail Jumping while the other charges were dismissed but read-in at sentencing. 4 years State Prison with 4 years Extended Supervision were imposed concurrent to the sentence in 2024CF60.
On October 10, 2025 the Green County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into reported Battery to an Inmate stemming from a physical altercation between subject confined to the Green County Jail. On October 15, 2025 COOK was officially charged in Green County Circuit Court under 2025CF159 on 1 count of Battery by Prisoners (Felony). On February 13, 2026 COOK was convicted by way of his guilty plea on one count of Battery by Prisoners. Sentence was withheld and COOK received a sentence of 5 years probation consecutive to 24CF60 and 25CF83 but concurrent to 26CF19.
On January 28, 2026 the Green County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into reported Battery to an Inmate stemming from a physical altercation between subject confined to the Green County Jail. On February 3, 2026 COOK was officially charged in Green County Circuit Court under 2026CF19 on 1 count of Battery by Prisoners (Felony). On February 13, 2026 COOK was convicted by way of his guilty plea on one count of Battery by Prisoners. Sentence was withheld and COOK received a sentence of 5 years probation consecutive to 24CF60 and 25CF83 but concurrent to 25CF159.
Ultimately – with these convictions COOK was sentenced to 6 years initial confinement in the Wisconsin State Prison System and 9 years Extended Supervision followed by an additional 5 years of probation. Life Time Sex Offender Registry was also imposed.
