Traffic Crime

At 12:20 AM, Deputies conducted a welfare check on a motorist in the N8200 block of CTH CC, in the Town of Exeter.  The contact resulted in the driver, Ecson Fernandez Rodriguez, 44, of Monroe, being cited for Operating After Revocation (due to an alcohol offense).  Fernandez was later released pending court.

Motor Vehicle Crash - Property Damage

At 4:14 AM, Deputies responded to the W4700 block of STH 59, in the Town of Sylvester, for a reported two vehicle crash.  The investigation found that Rick L. Richardson, 61, of Monroe, was driving westbound when he slowed down to avoid an animal in the road.  Kyle J. Bruehlman, 37, of Monroe, who was also driving westbound behind Richardson, then collided with the rear of Richardson’s vehicle.  Both parties advised that they were uninjured and were wearing their seatbelts.  Richardson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, without airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.  Bruehlman’s vehicle sustained minor damage, without airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.  The investigation resulted in Bruehlman being cited for Following Too Close.  He was later released pending court.
