Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury

At 7:31 am, Deputies along with Belleville Fire/EMS, responded to the intersection of County Highway CC and County Highway W, in the Town of Exeter, for a two vehicle crash.  The investigation determined that the vehicle driven by Spencer J. Barnes, 30, of Monticello was turning onto County Highway CC from County Highway W, when it struck the vehicle driven by Alexandria, N. Byrne, 30 of Verona, who was stopped at the stop sign in the intersection.  Byrne’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Barnes' vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.  Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelt and having no injuries.  The investigation resulted in Barnes receiving a citation for improper left turn and was released pending court.
