Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 7:15 AM, Deputies responded to the W5200 block of CTH KK, in the Town of Monroe, for a reported single vehicle crash with no injury.   The investigation found that Jason J. Rohda, 44, of East Troy, was driving westbound when he lost control of the vehicle due to icy road conditions.  Rohda traveled across the road and into the south shoulder, where he struck a mailbox and then entered the ditch.  Rohda advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.  The vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and remained on scene to be removed at a later time.

At 8:58 AM, Deputies responded to the W5600 block of CTH C, in the Town of Washington, for a reported single vehicle crash with no injury.   The investigation found that Melvin U. Rodriguez, 33, of Monticello, was traveling westbound negotiating a curve when he lost control of the vehicle due to icy road conditions.  Rodriguez traveled into the south shoulder, where he struck a mailbox then entered the ditch.  Rodriguez advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.  Rodriguez’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was left on scene to be removed at a later time.  

Operating While under the Influence

At 10:58 PM, Deputies responded to the W6300 block of STH 11, in the Town of Monroe, for a reported wrong way driver.  Deputies later located the reported vehicle in the ditch.  The investigation resulted in the driver, Joni M. Klinge-West, 48, of Elroy, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence.  Klinge-West was additionally cited for Driving the Wrong Way on a Divided Highway.  Klinge-West was later released to a responsible person pending court.
