Operating While under the Influence

At 12:39 AM, Deputies responded to the N2500 block of Richland Rd., in the Town of Sylvester, for a reported suspicious vehicle.   The investigation resulted in Tommy Campos, 30, of Milwaukee, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence.  Campos was later released pending court.  

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 5:12 PM, Deputies responded to the W700 block of Decatur Rd., in the Town of Decatur, for a single vehicle crash.  The investigation found that Jason D. Borntrager, 23, of Evansville, was traveling eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve.   Borntrager then traveled into the ditch, where the vehicle struck a road sign and fence before coming to rest.  Borntrager advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.  The vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.  The investigation resulted in Borntrager being cited for Operating without Motor Vehicle Insurance.
