The following events occurred on June 19, 2025:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

"Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”

MVC - OWI:

At 9:01 PM, Deputies and Monticello Fire Department responded to the intersection of STH 69 and Gutzmer Rd, Town of Mt Pleasant, for a vehicle on fire/smoking in the ditch.  Sara J Anderson Mooney, 59, Darlington, was southbound when she turned too late for Gutzmer Rd, and entered the ditch.  Anderson Mooney reported wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured.  Her vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.  

Anderson Mooney was arrested for OWI 1st offense (alcohol).  She was cited for Prohibited Alcohol Concentration, and Failure to Maintain Control.  She was released to a responsible party pending a court appearance.
