The following events occurred on June 13, 2025:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

"Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”

MVC - Personal Injury:

At 9:14 AM, Deputies, Brodhead PD, Brodhead FD and EMS responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries in the W400 block of CTH E, Town of Decatur.  A pickup and trailer was parked on the north side of the roadway with its hazards activated and orange reflective cones deployed to the front and rear of the vehicle and trailer.  A vehicle driven by Beverly A Hoeper, 82, Brodhead, was westbound when she drove up onto the trailer, and off the side of the trailer.  Hoeper reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained injuries.  She was transported to an area hospital via EMS.  Hoeper’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.  Hoeper was cited for inattentive driving.  

The pickup and trailer, owned by J7B Excavating LLC was also damaged in the incident.  J&B Excavating was cited for non-registration of the trailer.
