INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN ARREST OF CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER
On June 3, 2025 the Green County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation of reported Sexual Acts involving a convicted sexual offender confined to the Green County Jail.
Due to the nature of the alleged crimes, the Green County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division was assigned to conduct further investigation. While the investigation was underway, Deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s Office observed an inmate engaged in an indecent act within a vehicle parked in the Green County Jail parking lot near 6th St in the City of Monroe. This parking lot is located within close proximity to an elementary school and several daycares.
To date, Green County Law Enforcement has developed probable cause to support the arrest of ISAIAH WAYNE COOK, 19, of rural Albany, WI for the following crime:
Lewd and Lascivious Behavior ~ WI SS 944.20(1)(b)
At the time of the incident, ISAIAH COOK was a Green County Jail Inmate with Huber Release privileges which have since been revoked by the Green County Courts. COOK is in the custody of the Green County Jail and will not be eligible for release (by way of bond on this arrest) due to the revocation of his Huber release privileges for the jail sentence he was serving at the time of the incident. Additional sex crime charges are being referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office for review. This investigation remains active and no additional information will be released at this time.
COOK has a previous sex crime conviction in the State of Wisconsin. COOK was convicted of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault under Green County CCAP case 2024CF60 where he plead Guilty to the charge in Green County Circuit Court in January 2025. In addition to the conviction, numerous charges were dismissed but read in at sentencing. Also stemming from that case, COOK received a Deferred Prosecution/Sentence agreement on one count of Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child (at least 3 violations of 1st or 2nd degree Sexual Assault) contrary to WI SS 948.025(1)(e). This Deferred Prosecution / Sentence was under review and in effect until January 22, 2030. ISAIAH WAYNE COOK is a 15 Year Sex Offender Registrant due to the above conviction.
