The following events occurred on May 13, 2025:
All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
"Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”
MVC - Property Damage:
At 6:19 AM, Deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch in the N3900 block of STH 59, Town of Sylvester. Brock Leikness, 18, Janesville, was westbound when he advised he swerved to miss a deer, and left the roadway, went down an embankment and collided with the ditch. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and airbag deployment. Leikness reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Traffic Crime:
At 1:16 PM, Deputies attempted to stop a sport bike for speeding in the W4100 block of STH 11, Town of Jefferson. The sport bike increased its speed and exited the highway. Deputies finally stopped the sport bike after a brief pursuit, and the operator was identified as Mitchel Disch, 43, Albany. Disch was arrested for two counts of felony bail jumping. He was cited for speeding, Operating After Revocation, No Insurance, and Fail to Stop at Stop Sign. Charges of Felony Eluding an Officer were referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office. Disch was jailed pending a court appearance.
