The following events occurred on March 9, 2025:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MVC - Personal Injury:

At 7:24 AM, Deputies responded to a mvc in the W3500 block of CTH C, Town of Mt. Pleasant.  Natasha Hartman, 37, Monticello, was westbound when she left the roadway and overcorrected.  This caused the vehicle to cross the center line,  entering the opposite ditch where it struck a utility pole and guy wire. The vehicle then continued across a driveway where it struck a fence post and a large rock before coming to rest in a field. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with air bag deployment. Natasha left the scene.

While deputies were on scene, the owner of the vehicle, Shaun Hartman, 39, of Monticello arrived on scene and indicated that he took Natasha home from the crash.  Natasha reported wearing her seatbelt, and possible injuries.  She did not require transport.  Natasha indicated that she does not remember the crash.   

Shaun was cited for Assist Subject Leaving the Scene of a Crash, and Natasha was cited for Failure to maintain control. They were released pending a court date.
