The following events occurred on August 3, 2024:

Warrant Arrest

At 2:31 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the N4400 block of STH 69, in the Town of Monroe.  The investigation resulted in the driver, Jorge Luis Castellon Miranda, 26, of Monroe, being placed under arrest for an active Arrest Warrant.  Castellon Miranda was additionally cited for Speeding and Operating without a Valid License.  Castellon Miranda was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.  

Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury

At 12:15 PM, Deputies, Green County EMS, and Juda Fire Department responded to the N3400 block of STH 59, in the Town of Sylvester, for a motorcycle crash with injury.  The investigation found that the driver, Wendy L. Mikson, 47, of Wheaton, was traveling south when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.  The motorcycle then entered the west ditch where Mikson was ejected from the motorcycle. Mikson was not wearing a helmet and was later transported to the hospital.  The motorcycle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
