The following events occurred on July 31, 2024:

Motor Vehicle Crash-Injury:

At 5:18 p.m., Deputies along with Albany EMS, Green County Paramedic, and Monticello Fire Department, responded to the W3100 block of County Highway C, in the Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a motorcycle versus truck crash.

Investigation revealed that a motorcycle, operated by a 48-year-old Janesville man, was traveling eastbound. The operator attempted to brake causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn. The motorcycle continued sliding eastbound and collided with another vehicle before coming to rest. The operator sustained injuries and was transported by Med Flight to an area hospital for treatment. The operator was wearing protective clothing and eye protection, but was not wearing a helmet. The motorcycle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene.

The second vehicle was operated by Jeffery R. Kubly, 45 of Monroe. Kubly reported backing into a private drive, when the motorcycle collided with his vehicle. Kubly reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Kubly's vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
