I am pleased to announce that Lieutenant John Schuetz has been selected for promotion to the rank of Chief Deputy.  Lieutenant Schuetz has 14 years of experience with the Sheriff’s Office.  John started as a Deputy assigned to our Jail Division, promoted to Patrol Division where he served in a variety of roles such as Officer In Charge and Court Services supervisor.  John climbed the ranks to Detective in 2018 and served in that role until he was promoted to Lieutenant in 2021 where he was responsible for the supervision of the Detective Bureau.  

Lieutenant Schuetz has been vital in employee development and training relating to investigative techniques.  John is approachable and responsive for our employees, partners in the community and the victims he has served in his career.  Lieutenant Schuetz has developed into an outstanding investigator pursuing offenders that possess child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and has made Green County a safer place to live and visit because of his efforts.  

Lieutenant Schuetz will start his new role effective Sunday, July 14.  Please join us in congratulating him on this well earned promotion.
