The following incidents occurred on Monday, June 24th, 2024:

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT- PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At approximately 8:51 AM, Deputies responded to the N5500 block of State Highway 69, Town of Washington, for a report of a two-vehicle accident.
Investigations found that a northbound vehicle driven by Cassandra M Trumpy, 27, of Monticello, failed to see a vehicle slowing ahead of her also northbound, preparing for a left-hand turn. Trumpy then attempted a passing maneuver around this vehicle operated by Jason P Zahradka, 51, of Monroe, striking the rear end of this vehicle.
Both Trumpy and Zahradka denied injuries, both reported wearing their seatbelts, and neither vehicle’s airbags deployed. Trumpy’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to damages sustained. Zahradka’s vehicle was driven from the scene.
Trumpy was cited for inattentive driving.
