The following events occurred on January 31, 2024:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 2:42 p.m., Deputies along with Green County EMS and Monroe Rural Fire Department responded to the W6900 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Clarno for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Steven W. Cole, 67 of Hazel Green, was traveling west bound when his vehicle was rear ended by another westbound vehicle. Cole sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Cole reported wearing his seatbelt. Cole’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was left at the scene.

The second westbound vehicle was operated by Ryley R. Oliver, 22 of Browntown. Oliver reported non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Oliver was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags deployed. Oliver’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Investigation resulted in Oliver being cited for Inattentive Driving and Insufficient Tread Depth. Oliver was released pending court.
