The following events occurred on January 25, 2024:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Bail Jumping

At 7:51 PM, Deputies responded to 401 E. Coates Ave., in the Village of Monticello, for a reported accidental 911 call.  The investigation resulted in William M. Jones, 47, of Janesville, being placed under arrest for Felony Bail Jumping.  The Department of Corrections also placed a Probation Hold on Jones.  Jones was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court. 

Operating While under the Influence

At 10:14 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W200 block of STH 81, in the Town of Spring Grove.  The investigation resulted in the driver, David M. Smith, 49, of Beloit, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence (first offense).  Smith was additionally cited for Possession of THC (less than 25 grams).   Smith was later released to a responsible party pending a future court date.
