The following events occurred on January 23, 2024:
All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:
At 4:04 a.m., Deputies responded to the N3400 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of Monroe, for the report of a single vehicle rollover crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Amando Huertero-Lozano, 32 of Freeport, was traveling southbound when the vehicle lost control due to the icy road conditions. The vehicle then entered the east ditch and overturned, coming to rest on the roof. Huertero-Lozano sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 7:06 a.m., Deputies along with the Brodhead Fire Department and Brodhead EMS responded to the N2400 block of Brodhead Airport Road, in the Town of Spring Grove for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Daytona L. Schliem, 31 of Brodhead was traveling northbound when the vehicle lost control due to icy road conditions. The vehicle entered the ditch and collided with a utility pole. Schliem and her passenger reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 9:23 a.m., Deputies responded to the W300 block of Pientenpol Place, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Chad M. Hardy, 42 of Brodhead, was traveling westbound when the vehicle lost control due to icy road conditions. The vehicle exited the roadway and collided with a mailbox. Hardy reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
TRAFFIC CRIME:
On 01/24/24 at 3:12 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W4400 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Jefferson, for a driver’s license violation. Investigation resulted in the operator, Julian De La Cruz-Martinez, 39 of Darlington being cited for Operating After Revocation (due to alcohol) and Fail to Install an Ignition Interlock Device. Martinez was released pending court.
