The following events occurred on January 19, 2024:

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 6:14 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 69 & CTH C, in the Town of Mt. Pleasant for a reported hit and run crash.  Stephanie J. Cook, 47, of McConnel, was traveling southbound slowing for a snowplow when a vehicle struck the rear of her vehicle.  Cook advised she was uninjured and wearing her seatbelt.  Cook’s vehicle sustained minor damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.  

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 7:35 AM, Deputies responded to the W1100 block of STH 11, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a reported two vehicle crash.  It was found that Diana J. Kirby, 64, of Albany, was parked in a parking lot when Jason D. Mertens, 45, of Brodhead, was backing up and struck Diana.  Kirby and Mertens advised they were uninjured and wearing their seatbelts.  Both vehicles sustained minor damage, with no airbag deployment, and were driven from the scene.  

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 10:35 PM, Deputies responded to the intersection of Lawver Rd. & CTH B, in the Town of Cadiz, for a single vehicle crash.  It was found that David J. Oliver, 23, of Browntown was traveling northbound on Lawver Rd. when he slid through the intersection due to snow covered roads and entered the north ditch.  Oliver was uninjured and wearing his seatbelt.  Oliver’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
