The following events occurred on January 12, 2024:

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 4:39 p.m., Deputies along with the Monticello Fire Department responded to the 100 block of State Highway 69, in the Village of Monticello for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Tristan L.H. Putman, 34 of Madison, was traveling southbound when he lost control due to the snowy road conditions. The vehicle then entered the west ditch and collided with a guide wire for a utility pole before coming to rest. Putman reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 5:20 p.m., Deputies responded to the W3200 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Sylvester, for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed a vehicle operated by Christopher H. Chisom, 48 of Rock City, was traveling eastbound when he lost control due to the snowy road conditions. The vehicle then entered the south ditch and came to rest. A second eastbound vehicle operated by Paul W. Keintz, 20 of Brodhead, entered the south ditch and collided with Chisom’s vehicle. Both operators reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.
