The following events occurred on July 29, 2023:
All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:
At 6:18 a.m., Deputies along with the Albany Fire Department and Albany EMS responded to the N4800 block of Rechstiener Road, in the Town of Sylvester for the report of a single vehicle roll over crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by William E. Edwards, 33 of Stockton was traveling northbound when he lost control. The vehicle then entered the east ditch and overturned. Edwards sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Edwards was cited for Failure to Keep Control of Vehicle and was released pending court.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 11:05 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of Buckskin Road and Walnut Road, in the Town of Washington for the report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Kaden M. Desmet, 18 of Belleville was traveling southbound on Walnut and turned westbound onto Buckskin, when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle then entered the south ditch and collided with a tree. Desmet and his passengers reported no injuries. Desmet reported no seatbelt usage, and the airbags did deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Desmet was cited for Failure to Keep Control of Vehicle, and for Violating Absolute Sobriety. Desmet was released to a responsible party pending court.
DOMESTIC ABUSE:
At 11:25 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the W8100 block of Prairie View Road, in the Town of Adams, for the report of an altercation. Investigation resulted in Gabriel Z. Garity, 45 of Blanchardville being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct- Domestic related and Bail Jumping. Garity was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending the posting of bond or an initial court appearance.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:
On 07/30/23 at 2:27 a.m., Deputies along with the Belleville Police Department and Belleville EMS responded to the W1800 block of State Highway 92, in the Town of Brooklyn for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Stephanie A. Felber, 59 of Elgin was traveling eastbound when she experienced a medical emergency. The vehicle then entered the north ditch and collided with a tree. Felber sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
