The following incident occurred on Sunday, September, 11, 2022.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH
At approximately 9:54 PM, Deputies responded to the W900 block of Bump Rd., in the Town of Albany, for a report of a car in a corn field. Deputies later made contact with the driver, Desiree J. Copeland, 23, of Albany, who advised she was travelling westbound when she swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. Desiree said she then lost control of the vehicle and entered the south ditch, where she struck a fence. The vehicle came to a rest against a utility pole. Desiree and her passenger were uninjured in the crash. The occupants were were wearing safety restraints. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Desiree was cited for failure to maintain control and released pending court. | Corporal Mark Binger #10
