The following events occurred on January 30, 2026:

Criminal Arrest

At 1:25 AM, Deputies responded to the N2300 block of Bloom Ln., in the Town of Clarno, for a reported disturbance.  The investigation resulted in Barry L. Polifka, 51, of Monroe, being placed under arrest for Battery, Disorderly Conduct, and a Probation Hold.  Samantha R. Estep, 39, of Monroe, was also placed under arrest for a Probation Hold.  Both parties were incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court. 

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury

At 5:01 PM, Deputies responded to the N6500 block of STH 69, in the Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a two vehicle crash.  The investigation found that a southbound vehicle, driven by Tyler S. Holst, 29, of Mornoe, was stopped and yielding to traffic before turning east onto Lake Ave.  Another southbound vehicle, driven by Jennifer H.H. Mehn, 21, of Oshkosh, failed to slow down behind Holst and collided with the rear of his vehicle.  Mehn advised she was wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured.  Holst advised he was wearing his seatbelt and reported suspected minor injury.  Both vehicles involved sustained disabling damage, with no airbag deployment, and were towed from the scene.  The investigation resulted in Mehn being cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way and she was released pending court.
