The following events occurred on February 11, 2023:

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 2:00 p.m., Deputies responded to the W6900 block of County Highway C, in the Town of Washington for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Joel K. Espe, 74 of Monticello was traveling eastbound when he struck another eastbound vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn. Espe was not injured, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Espe’s vehicle sustained functional damage was driven from the scene.
The other vehicle was operated by Steven L. Graber, 60 of Monticello. Graber reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Graber’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
OWI:
At 7:50 p.m., Deputies conducted a check welfare on a vehicle parked in the roadway in the W8100 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Cadiz. Investigation resulted in the driver, Joel F. Tertin, 64 of Monroe being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence (1st-Alcohol). Tertin was also cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Tertin was later released to a responsible party pending court.
