The following events occurred on September 18th, 2021:

Operate While Under The Influence:
At approximately 3:04 AM, Deputies, along with Juda Fire Dept. and Green County EMS, responded to the W3200 blk High School Rd., Town of Sylvester, for a reported single vehicle crash.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle, operated by Ellyott W Baertschi, 25, Juda, was eastbound on High School Rd., when his vehicle entered the south shoulder. Baertschi then re-entered the roadway, overcorrected, and exited the roadway into the south shoulder again. The vehicle then struck a tree and overturned onto its driver side. Baertschi reported wearing his seatbelt and being injured. He was transported from the scene by ambulance for further medical evaluation. The vehicle sustained severe damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.
Baertschi was arrested for operating while under the influence, 1st offense (alcohol related). He was later released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:
At approximately 1:47 PM, Deputies, along with Belleville EMS, New Glarus Fire Dept., Belleville Fire Dept., and New Glarus Police Dept., responded to the W4300 blk County HWY W, Town of Exeter, for a single vehicle crash.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle, operated by Megan R Scovill, 34, Belleville, was westbound on County HWY W when she failed to negotiate a curve, overcorrected, and crossed the center line, at which point the vehicle overturned. Scovill reported wearing her seatbelt and being injured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.
