The following incident occurred on Friday, February 03, 2023:

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury – 

On 02/03/2023 at approximately 7:33 PM, Deputies, the Brooklyn Police Department, the Evansville Police Department, the Brooklyn Fire Department, and Brooklyn EMS responded to the N9200 block of STH 92, Town of Brooklyn, for a vehicle versus guardrail crash with injury. 

Investigation determined the operator, Michael J. Kersten, 43 of Brooklyn, was southbound on State Highway 104 when he believes he passed out. Michael's vehicle drifted off to the west shoulder, striking a guardrail head on. Michael reported wearing his seatbelt and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Michael was transported by EMS for further evaluation. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front bumper with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.
