Operating While Under the Influence
At 10:41 am, Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 200 blk of 2nd Street, in the City of Monroe. The investigation resulted in the driver, Roger L. Nelson, 77, of Verona, being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence -3rd offense. Nelson was additionally cited for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign and possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Nelson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage
At 5:20 pm, Deputies responded to the W400 blk of Dunphy Rd., Town of Albany for a two vehicle crash with no injuries. The investigation found Tracy A Gobeli, 43, of Monticello was driving eastbound when she suddenly stopped for deer crossing the roadway. The driver of the second vehicle, Katie L. Neild, 31, of Brooklyn, was driving behind Gobeli, and was unable to stop before colliding into the rear of Gobeli’s vehicle. Both driver’s reported being uninjured and wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident. Both vehicles had minor damage with no airbag deployment and were driven from the scene.
