Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 4:17 AM, Deputies responded to the 700 block of S. Mechanic St., in the Village of Albany, for a one vehicle crash.  The vehicle was later located unoccupied.   The investigation found that the driver, Tanner G. Keppers, 32, of Brodhead, was traveling south when he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway.  Tanner advised that he then lost control of the vehicle and entered the east ditch, where the vehicle overturned and then came to a rest.   Keppers advised that he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of incident and was uninjured.  The vehicle sustained disabling damage, without airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. 

Operating While under the Influence

At 9:40 PM, Deputies responded to the 300 block of STH 69, in the Village of New Glarus, for a reported vehicle in the ditch.  The investigation resulted in the driver, Jeremy N. Jacobson, 44, of New Glarus, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence.  Jacobson was additionally cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration (greater than .15) and Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle.   Jacobson was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
