Accident PD/ OWI
At 11:52 p.m., Deputies responded to the N2400 block of CTH T, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a vehicle that had crashed. Investigation found that the operator, Zhane R Sheldon, 20 of Durand IL, was traveling northbound on CTH T when a deer entered the roadway. Sheldon swerved to miss the deer, entered the ditch line, hit some pine trees, continued into a corn field, and back onto the roadway. Sheldon reported wearing his seatbelt, and was not injured. The vehicle sustained disabling all around damage, and was towed from the scene. Sheldon was arrested for operating while intoxicated, and operating with a PAC. Sheldon was later released pending court.
