2024 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on June 16, 2024

The following events occurred on June 15, 2024:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash-Property Damage:

 

At 4:32 p.m., Deputies responded to the N2300 block of Allen Road, in the Town of Cadiz for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Wren M.L. Stites, 17 of Browntown, was traveling southbound when she left the roadway and collided with a bridge railing. The vehicle continued traveling south before entering the west ditch and coming to rest. Stites reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

 

OWI:

 

At 6:29 p.m., Deputies conducted a welfare check on a subject that was parked in the roadway in the W1100 block of Decatur Albany Road, in the Town of Decatur. Investigation resulted in the operator, Cameron M. Evans, 22 of Janesville being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1st) and for a Probation Violation. Evans was further cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Evans was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash-Injury:

 

At 8:20 p.m., Deputies along with Green County EMS and Monticello Fire Department responded to the N6600 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of Mt Pleasant, for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Drew M. Bloyer, 33 of Monticello, was traveling southbound and attempting to turn eastbound onto East Lake Avenue. While Bloyer was stopped, a second southbound vehicle operated by Nicole M. Paulson, 29 of Monroe, collided into the rear of Bloyer’s vehicle. Both operators sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Both operators reported wearing their seatbelts, and airbag deployment. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
