The following events occurred on June 10, 2024:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Motor Vehicle Crash-Injury:

At 10:23 a.m., Deputies along with Green County EMS and Monroe Rural Fire Department responded to the N1200 block of Steiner Road, in the Town of Clarno, for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Jane R. Brayko, 21 of Monroe, was traveling southbound when a motorcycle traveling westbound on the Cheese Country Trail crossed in front of her causing the vehicles to collide. Brayko reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Brayko’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

The motorcycle was operated by Gary E. Smith, 68 of Genoa City. Smith sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Smith was reported to have been wearing a helmet and eye protection. The motorcycle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene.
