The following events occurred on March 30, 2024:

ACCIDENT- PI

At 3:38 PM, Green County Deputies, Brodhead Police, Rock County Deputies, Brodhead First Response, and Brodhead EMS, responded to a two-vehicle collision on STH 81 at CTH T, in the Town of Spring Grove. The investigation revealed that Robert D. Zimmerman, age 21 of Platteville, was traveling east on STH 81, when a vehicle operated by Helgar A. Moreno Palma, age 37 of Fond du Lac, failed to yield the right of way. The front of Robert's vehicle collided with the rear of Helgar's vehicle.

Robert reported wearing his seatbelt and was transported for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. Helgar and his passengers reported wearing their seatbelts and were not injured.  Robert's vehicle sustained disabling damage; multiple airbags deployed. Robert's vehicle was removed from the scene by Arn's Towing. Helgar's vehicle sustained disabling damage; there was no airbag deployment. Helgar's vehicle was removed from the scene by Don's Towing. 

Helgar was cited for failure-to-yield the right of way, operating without a valid license, operating with suspended registration, and no insurance. Heglar was released pending court.
