Accident – Personal Injury

On 03/15/2024 at 5:09 PM, Deputies responded to the 1400 block of STH 69, in the Town of New Glarus, for a three vehicle crash with injuries.  The investigation found that Ronnie L. Bircher, 66, of New Glarus, was traveling southbound when he struck a slowing vehicle ahead of him.  The driver of the slowing vehicle, Christopher W. Anderson, 45, of Monroe, then struck a truck in front of him and then entered the east ditch.  The driver of the truck, Ryan E. Wiesenberg, then came to a stop.  

Bircher was wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injury.   Bircher's vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.  Anderson was wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injury.  Anderson's vehicle sustained disabling damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.  Wiesenberg was wearing his seatbelt and uninjured.  Wiesenberg's vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.
