The following events occurred on January 26, 2024:

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 7:04 a.m., Deputies responded to the N3600 block of State Highway 59, in the Town of Sylvester, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Timothy E. Garwell, 48 of Monroe, was traveling eastbound when he left the roadway. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest on the driver’s side. Garwell reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
OWI:
At 3:46 p.m., Deputies were requested to respond to the 1300 block of 16th Ave, in the City of Monroe, for the report of an intoxicated driver. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Heidi H. Hume, 59 of Monroe, was traveling northbound when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a snow bank and became stuck. Investigation resulted in Hume being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1st) and Resisting. Hume was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending release to a responsible party.
