The following events occurred on August 12, 2023:
All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 5:46 a.m., Deputies responded to the N4300 block of Ladwig Road, in the Town of Sylvester for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Bethany M. Flanagan, 46 of Monroe was traveling southbound when she collided with a downed tree in the roadway. Flanagan reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Flanagan’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
BAIL JUMPING:
At 5:36 p.m., Deputies along with the Albany Fire Department and Albany EMS responded to the W1200 block of Decatur Albany Road for the report of two tubers having a medical emergency. Investigation resulted in Darien R. Johnson, 19 of Brooklyn being arrested for bail jumping. Johnson was further cited for Underage Drinking. Johnson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court. The second tuber, Carlitos C. Torres, 17 of Oregon was cited for Underage Drinking. Torres was released to a responsible party pending court.
MOTOR VEHCILE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 6:48 p.m., Deputies responded to the W100 block of Halfway Tree Road, in the Town of Spring Grove for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Joseph T. Clark, 31 of Brodhead was backing out of a driveway and collided with a vehicle traveling west. Clark reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The second vehicle was operated by Rodney V. Inman, 53 of Brodhead. Inman reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Both vehicles sustained functional damage and were driven from the scene.
OWI:
On 08/13/23 at 12:08 a.m., Deputies responded to the N4500 block of County Highway E, in the Town of Decatur, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Benjamin R. Brown, 45 of Brodhead was traveling northbound. The vehicle exited the roadway and entered the north ditch and collided with a sign and a tree. The vehicle then rolled an unknown number of times before coming to rest. Brown sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Investigation resulted in Brown being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (3rd). Brown was further cited for Failure to Control Vehicle, and Inattentive Driving. Brown was released pending court.
